Your information, protected
What we collect, where it's kept, who can see it, and exactly what artificial intelligence does.
What we collect
- Your name, date of birth, address and social insurance number
- Your slips, receipts and questionnaire answers
- Your email and phone number
Why
- To prepare and file your returns
- To confirm your identity, as the CRA expects
- To write to you about your file
What we never do
- Sell or rent your information
- Ask for your CRA or Revenu Québec password
- Send your SIN by email
Where it's kept
- On servers located in Canada
- Encrypted, reachable only with two-step sign-in
How long
- Six years after the tax year, as the law requires for signed filing authorizations
- Then deleted
Who can see it
- The person who prepares and checks your return
- Our suppliers, under contract, for that use only
- The CRA and Revenu Québec, when you authorize it
Artificial intelligence
Software reads the boxes on your slips and spots a missing document. It does not calculate your tax and makes no decision about you.
The math runs in tax software certified by the CRA. A person checks every number it read and approves the return.
If that service processes your documents outside Quebec, we tell you first and ask for your separate consent.
Your rights
You can see your information, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent at any time.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent first.
If something goes wrong
If your information were ever compromised, we would tell you, the regulators and the CRA, as the law requires.
